Phishing

In this article it talked about how people can send you an email that looks like a regular old email but it’s a hacker. They can hack thousands of people at a time. Sometimes the emails can talk about a family member because they know you have a family member of that name, so they will try to make it seem like a real email. You can always point your mouse to it to see where it is really taking you.

After reading this it’s a bit scary to think of all the things people go through to find out information about you or get something out of you. Also what people do to send a virus your way with you doing nothing to them. The internet and the power of what people can do with it is scary.

New Technology!

In this article they talk about the very new NINTENDO SWITCH, it just came out on March 3rd 2017. This is a new console and handheld hybrid system. It has HDMI and USB ports. The gamepad looks like a tablet but a little thicker and heavier. It is smaller than the WII and so are the remotes. There are two remotes and they kind of look like the WII remotes and the old Nintendo 64 remotes. With this new invention if you’re playing on the tv and would rather play outside, well you can! And you don’t even have to put pause, because you can take it with you.

The Nintendo Switch in my opinion sounds like it would be fun to play. It is like a game-boy but better, you get a two in one type of system. The fact that you can take it wherever you want is really cool, if you’re going on a road trip you can take that and enjoy it with your friends. I like that it comes with two remotes and of a different color too, red and blue. It doesn’t have to be connected to wifi which makes it better for kids who want to play with your phone but you don’t have internet, because now they can play while you’re on your phone.

Books!

  1. The Perks of Being A Wallflower. Stephen Chbosky, 2006, I enjoyed this book because it is about a boy who is not only going to a new school but also battling depression. This book takes us throughout his entire freshman year with his new friends who are getting ready to graduate.
  2. She Said Yes. Misty Bernall, 1999, this book has always been one of my favorite go to books. It is about the Columbine shooting. This book is written by the mother of one of the victims.
  3. Room. Emma Donoghue, 2010, I loved this book because it is based on a true story. It is about a mom who was kidnapped and has a son while in this room. Her son has never been outside of this room until him and his mom are rescued. It is hard to read at times, because of how traumatic it is.
